After 30 years of service to the Sarasota , Bradenton and surrounding areas we are looking to sell the business and retire. We have worked hard and built strong relations and an outstanding reputation with our life-long customers. If you are interested in buying our business please read on.   Better Impressions is a family owned small specialty letterpress print shop. The bulk of our business comes from local printers, copy centers, local schools and local government.   Although the offset print industry is suffering due to computer advancements, our small letterpress business is still needed to provide services that can not be done by our customers, home computers or copy machines. These services include numbering, crash printing, perforating, scoring, die-cutting and laminating.   Better Impressions is also one of the only local rubber stamp manufactures to produce business style stamps. These include self inking, standard and peg style stamps.

Who might be interested?

Someone who is interested in moving to the area and jump right into an established business. This person needs to be self motivated and willing to spend time growing the customer base. This person also needs to be willing to do hands on work and being mechanically inclined is a definate plus.This small business can be run by, one full time person with one or two part time helpers. Just to give you an idea what kind of team is running the shop, the full time person is my mother, 70+ years old, and my sister, is the first helper. The second part time helper was my father who maintained all the equipment. I assist occasionally when I am needed as computer support or to prepare artwork. This opportunity would be excellent for a small family currently having one income and looking for additional income. Just like other businesses in Florida the printing industry ebbs and flows with the tourist season. Summer months are markedly slower which can give the owner the time to enjoy Florida activities and vacation with the family.

Is there room for growth?

Better Impressions has not pursued new customers locally or across the web in the past 15 years. We have sustained ourselves with our initial effort to build the business back in the late 1970's. The Sarasota Bradenton area is a fast growing area with many new businesses every year. In addition there is the possibility of finding contract work from the web. There are opportunities and room for growth by an ambitious new owner. Currently the customer base consists of approximately 40 regular accounts with a minimum amount of walk-in customers.

How much space is needed?

Currently the business is available for purchase alone or with the property where it resides.   The approximate space needed to house the business is 1000 square feet.
